Several people playing Oberin communicate with AIM (I do), therefore this article from MacRumors may give you some answers if you have been experiencing problems. The full story can be read on MacRumors on this link www.macrumors.com/2014/07/02/aim-mac-me-ids/You may have to create a new AIM ID's, then create a new Buddy lists with this new account if you experience issues like some users have had, meaning AIM not working with older Mac.com/Me.com IDs/addresses. Edit: Apple Support Document support.apple.com/kb/TS5224?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_USApple's support forums discussions.apple.com/thread/6429146PS: In order to keep everyone in the loop, also avoid posible issues or break down in communication, I will ask that you please repost this on other active Guild Forums, also advise friends of the possible issues before you lose touch with them.

A follow up Added details as to why AIM may or may not be working for some users of Mac.com/Me.com IDs "Increased Messages security leaves iChat, third-party IM clients by the wayside"Sometimes there's no choice but to let go of the past. Case in point, those with AOL Instant Messenger accounts based on their Mac.com and Me.com email addresses. Many of those folks were surprised on Tuesday when they found themselves unable to log in either on older versions of OS X or via third-party IM clients, such as Adium. Thanks to enhanced security that Apple has put in place as of July 1, folks with those specific usernames can no longer connect to the AIM service with clients other than Messages running on OS X 10.7.2 or later. You can read the full story and details on MacWorld www.macworld.com/article/2449595/increased-messages-security-leaves-ichat-third-party-im-clients-by-the-wayside.htmlAnd from Apple "OS X: Using me.com or mac.com IDs with AIM in iChat requires OS X v10.7.2 or later" support.apple.com/kb/TS5224?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US
